Before wrapping a present, always check that you are only cutting through one sheet of wrapping paper, to avoid waste.

Also, use removable tape rather than sellotape and then you can ask friends and relatives to unwrap their presents very carefully and return the paper to you (also, buy cylindrical presents where possible as this will reduce creasing in the paper).
